Marcelinho Peregrino
This is Marcelinho, originally Marcelo, a friend and partner in crime from my late teens in my hometown, Martínez, just outside Buenos Aires. We studied photography together and later moved to Spain, where we found ourselves drawn into the Ibiza club scene. A couple of years later, he returned to Argentina to chase a DJ dream, but after a rough patch, he left it all behind, drifting across South America like a modern-day pilgrim.
Since then, he’s lived in the margins, on the streets and in the jungle, surviving with odd jobs, trinkets sold to passing strangers, windows cleaned at red lights, and sleeping wherever he could. Two decades later, we reconnected in Peru, and have continued to meet sporadically, a thread that now weaves an open-ended documentary, not bound by time, but by moments captured and stories shared.
