Disparar esta serie en carrete en el año 2002 fue una necesidad personal de ver qué pasaba detrás de los focos de Privilege. Exponer estas imágenes hoy, veinticuatro años después en la misma isla, tiene un significado enorme y muy querido para mí. El tiempo ha convertido lo que fue un reportaje analógico en un documento histórico, antropológico y nostálgico de una época dorada y mitificada de la isla que ya no existe de la misma manera. Esta muestra es, simplemente, el regreso de ese archivo y de ese trozo de mi vida al lugar exacto donde nació

Shooting this series on film back in 2002 was a personal need to see what happened behind the spotlights of Privilege. Exhibiting these images today, twenty-four years later on the same island, holds a huge and deeply cherished meaning for me. Time has turned what was once an analog photo reportage into a historical, anthropological, and nostalgic document of a golden and mythologized era of the island that no longer exists in the same way. This exhibition is, quite simply, the return of that archive and that piece of my life to the exact place where it was born.
